Asturblast takes part in the treatment with high-end paintings of the fans of the new Doha Metro (QATAR)


The technical and production team of Asturblast (Avilés, Spain) has been working since February in the treatment of fans of 2.5 meters in diameter to be installed in the new metro in Doha (Qatar). It’s a project of enormous dimensions. Talleres Zitron, the world leader in ventilation systems for infrastructure tunnels and mining, has been awarded the project of the underground catarí, a work that’s around one hundred million euros.

Asturblast is a company specialized in the treatment of surfaces with industrial coatings, paints, jet projection and shot blasting, among other services for the large industry. Almost, Zitron has relied on Asturblast to treat these huge fans, who will have to deal with a desert climate, with extreme temperatures often exceeding 40 degrees. The first machines will be delivered in 4 months. And the project of the new metro in Doha, with 5 lines that will cross the city, should be ready in 2020. This forces all companies involved to meet very tight deadlines.
